Stirring fluids is a basic operation in process engineering. All DISPERMAT® stirrers have a high torque and infinitely variable speed adjustment. A wide range of stirring tools are available for different applications ‒ such as homogenization, emulsification, suspension and stirring of high‒viscosity substances. Depending on the product viscosity different stirring tools are available including standard impellers as well as close tolerance butterfly blades used to move high‒viscosity product away from the container wall. Where stirring under vacuum is required the modular CHS and CDS vacuum system can be used.
Stirring of high‒viscosity products
In a Newtonian fluid the viscosity is only a function of the temperature. With non‒Newtonian products the viscosity is additionally a function of the shear rate generated by the stirring tool. In case of rheologically complicated substances with a high‒viscosity and a poor flow the dispersion process cannot be performed satisfactorily with dissolver disc alone. With these applications the use of a scraper or combination of dispersion tools is required. The DISPERMAT® range includes scraper systems, different dispersion, stirring and mixing tools as well as complete machines designed specifically for working with high‒viscosity materials.

The CV3evo line offers both a Basic and Advanced model which can be converted by optional accessory options to perform media milling, dispersing under vacuum, or homogenization by a rotor-stator and is equipped with new standard and optional adaptable features.
